Bert Bevers gedicht: El Sur

 

El Sur

 Bij de film van Victor Erice

 

 Wichelroede, laat de dochter vinden wat haar vader

was: dokter, motorrijder, man met baard

en met verleden, danseur met kleine meisjes.

 

Tussen ansichten in een sigarendoos kreukt

de herinnering aan het kind dat zij was

de Eerste Communie tegemoet met slechts

 

moeder en oma als getuigen in het hoofd.

Hij was er wel, hij was gekomen, hij was er.

Haar vader was er zonder dat zij het wist.

 

Nog galmt elke kerk die ik bezoek mij

van zijn zachte stappen naar de achterste pilaar.

De blik toen reeds op wat zij nu pas is.
