Van Abbemuseum tentoonstelling: Marcel Broodthaers dichter en kunstenaar
De tentoonstelling in de bibliotheek van het Van Abbemuseum toont ruim zeventig boeken en werken op papier van de Belgische dichter en conceptuele kunstenaar Marcel Broodthaers uit de collectie van verzamelaar Manfred Schmidt.
Deze worden aangevuld met een aantal werken van Broodthaers uit de verzameling van het Van Abbemuseum.
Bij de tentoonstelling verschijnt een Duitstalige catalogus: Marcel Broodthaers. Dichter und Künstler met bijdragen van Viola Hildebrandt-Schat (Broodthaers specialist) en Anne Thurman-Jajes (Weserburgmuseum Bremen) en een voorwoord van Maria Gilissen, de weduwe van Marcel Broodthaers.

Op zondagmiddag 18 januari a.s. is er een poëziemiddag in Libris-boekhandel Van der Meer in Noordwijk.
De optredende 5 dichters hebben allemaal het afgelopen najaar een nieuwe poëziebundel uitgebracht binnen het interessante & gedurfde fonds van Uitgeverij Voetnoot. Op de foto van links naar rechts: Arthur Lava, Andrea Voigt, Willem van Zadelhoff, Freda Kamphuis, Laura Mijnders.
Het wordt ongetwijfeld een inspirerende middag omdat deze 5 dichters de poëzie vanuit alle hoeken en gaten gaan benaderen en belichten. Verwacht contrast, verrassing, passie & humor!

Bernard Heidsieck (1928 – 22 November 2014) a French sound poet was born in Paris.
Apart from being a poet he was vice-president of the Banque Française du Commerce Extérieur in Paris and president of the Commission Poésie at the Centre National du Livre.
In the mid 50s Heidsieck started performing his Poèmes-Partitions pieces. He brought spoken word together with a wide range of recorded material. Bernard Heidsieck organised the first international festival of sound poetry in 1976 and later the event “Rencontres Internationales 1980 de poésie sonore” which took place in Rennes, in Le Havre and at the Pompidou Centre in Paris. He was also initiater of the journals Sound Poetry and Action Poetry.

Klankpoëzie, performance poëzie en visuele poëzie bij Underground Poetry Fest Jette (B)
Van vrijdag 19 tot en met zondag 21 september 2014 is Jette een weekend lang de internationale bakermat van de experimentele poëzie. U wordt meegevoerd naar de wereld van klankpoëzie, performance poëzie en visuele poëzie en overdonderd je met performances, tentoonstellingen, conferenties en workshops voor groot en klein.
Vrijdag start met een academische zitting over experimentele poëzie en opent de tentoonstelling met werk van visuele poëten. ’s Avonds is de avant-première van This is Belgian Chocolate van Philip Meersman. Zaterdag volgt de wonderlijke Dada-wereld van Maintenant #8 met Three Rooms Press uit New York en zondag wordt afgesloten met een Publiek Gedicht, de wereldberoemde Alain Arias-Misson trekt met een karavaan dichters door Jette en proclameert Het Onverenigd Koninkrijk België.

Japanese Conceptual Artist
On Kawara
dies At 81
On Kawara (1933–2014) was a Japanese conceptual artist who lived in New York City since 1965. On Kawara has shown in many solo and group exhibitions.
For over five decades, On Kawara made paintings, drawings and books examining chronological time as a measure of human existence. He started making his signature date paintings (the Today series) on January 4, 1966 in New York City and he made them, all over the world, until July 10 of this year. His conceptual art is to be seen in most of the important collections in the world.
On Kawara died in New York on July 10, 2014 at the age of 81.
