Overvloed

In de naslaap waad ik langzaam water
in. Dat doe ik nooit. Als ik me druipend
afvraag wat ik hier te doen sta verrijs jij.

Met het jonge slanke lichaam dat ik ken
van oude foto’s, gekartelrand en al, maar
met het hoofd dat ik zo zachtjes streelde

toen je bijna aan je laatste adem. Weet je
nog? Je glimlacht. “Wat krijgen we nou?
Jij gaf toch helemaal niets om zwemmen,

jongen?” zeg je. En je drukt me nat tegen
je borst die zo op de mijne lijkt. “Dag pa,”
zeg ik. “Dag papa. Waar ben je al die tijd?”

Überfluß

Im Nachschlaf wate ich langsam ins Wasser
rein. Das tue ich nie. Wenn ich mich tropfend
wundere was ich hier zu tun stehe da tauchst du auf.

Mit dem jungen schlanken Körper den ich kenn’
von alten Fotos, zackengerandet und alles, aber
mit dem Haupt das ich so sanft streichelte

bis du beinahe bei deinem letzten Atem. Weißt du
noch? Du lächelst. “Was machst du jetzt?
Du magst Schwimmen doch überhaupt nicht

Junge?” sagst du. Du drückst mich naß an
deine Brust die so der meinen ähnelt. “Hallo Vater,”
sag’ ich. “Guten Tag Vati. Wo bist du all die Zeit?”
