Renée Crevel: Métro

Renée Crevel

(1900-1935)

Métro

Les nègres de mon enfance

tachaient bien le ciel de France

mais leur flûte en acajou

savait un air drôle et doux.

Or les nègres ont perdu

jusqu’à l’orgueil de couleur.

Et de marine vêtus

ils croient encore au bonheur.

Ces enfants des pays chauds

aujourd’hui sont devenus

chefs de gare du métro.

1924
