Overvloed

In de naslaap waad ik langzaam water
in. Dat doe ik nooit. Als ik me druipend
afvraag wat ik hier te doen sta verrijs jij.

Met het jonge slanke lichaam dat ik ken
van oude foto’s, gekartelrand en al, maar
met het hoofd dat ik zo zachtjes streelde

toen je bijna aan je laatste adem. Weet je
nog? Je glimlacht. “Wat krijgen we nou?
Jij gaf toch helemaal niets om zwemmen,

jongen?” zeg je. En je drukt me nat tegen
je borst die zo op de mijne lijkt. “Dag pa,”
zeg ik. “Dag papa. Waar ben je al die tijd?”

Overflod

I eftersøvnen vader jeg langsomt ud i
vand. Det gør jeg aldrig. Når jeg dyngvåd
spørger mig selv hvad jeg laver her, genopstår du.
 
Met den unge slanke krop som jeg kender
fra gamle fotoer, takket og det hele, men
med hovedet som jeg så blidt aede,
 
da du var næsten ved dit sidste åndedrag. Husker
du stadig? Du smiler. “Hvad er det her for noget?
Du var aldrig særlig ivrig efter at svømme, vel,
 
dreng?” siger du. Og du trykker mig våd mod
dit bryst, som så udpræget ligner mit. “Davs, far,”
siger jeg. “Davs, farmand. Hvor er du hele tiden?”
