She smelt of time
walking slowly
like a mountain.

She railed
heavily
and flowed internally
and cared profoundly
but slowly,
at her own pace.

She smelt the energy
of her people,
of their language
on her lips.

Like a mother river
she carried many
with her on a raft
towards themselves.
