Bert Bevers gedicht: Obrecht

 

Obrecht

Daar staat hij eenzaam achterin: laat zonlicht
via glas-in-loden engel op een wit gelaat.

De vespers ruisen kruisgewelfs nog na.
Tussen pilaren door zal het motet weerklinken

dat in zijn hoofd afronding haast nabij is.
Zijn zangers hebben geen vermoeden nog.

Hij hoort hun stemmen reeds. Zijn glimlach straalt
verrukking uit wanneer zijn tred zich richt naar het koor.
