Read My World literatuurfestival

Read My World is het internationale literatuurfestival van Amsterdam met speciale aandacht voor literatuur die het grensgebied opzoekt met de journalistiek. De eerste editie vindt plaats op 13, 14 en 15 september 2013 in de Tolhuistuin te Amsterdam Noord en heeft speciale aandacht voor journalistiek, literatuur en alles daartussenin uit Egypte en Palestina.

Read My World is een nieuw Amsterdams literair initiatief dat op diverse manieren een podium wil bieden aan internationale nieuwe literaire ontwikkelingen. Dit doet Read My World door middel van een internationaal bezoekersprogramma, een website en een festival.

Read My World daagt Nederlandse en internationale auteurs uit het grensgebied van de literatuur met de (onderzoeks-) journalistiek op te zoeken. Het platform beziet jaarlijks een andere regio en vraagt aan lokale curatoren schrijvers en dichters te introduceren die verhalen vertellen voorbij de vluchtige ‘headlines’ waarin het nieuws ons doorgaans bereikt.
