Lied des Gefangenen

 

Als meine Grossmutter die Lise behext,

Da wollten die Leut sie verbrennen.

Schon hatte der Amtmann viel Tinte verkleckst,

Doch wollte sie nicht bekennen.

 

Und als man sie in den Kessel schob,

Da schrie sie Mord und Wehe;

Und als sich der schwarze Qualm erhob,

Da flog sie als Rab in die Hoehe.

 

Mein schwarzes, gefiedertes Grossmuetterlein!

O komm mich im Turme besuchen!

Komm, fliege geschwind durchs Gitter herein,

Und bringe mir Kaese und Kuchen.

O moechtest du nur sorgen,

Dass die Muhme nicht auspickt die Augen mein,

Wenn ich luftig schwebe morgen.
