WIM HUIJSER: DICHTER BIJ DORDT. BIOGRAFIE VAN CEES BUDDINGH’

huijserbuddingh12C. (Kees) Buddingh’ (1918-1985) mag gerekend worden tot de populairste schrijvers van zijn generatie.

Met zijn Gorgelrijmen verwierf hij al in de jaren veertig en vijftig zijn eerste bekendheid: ‘De blauwbilgorgel’ is zelfs klassiek geworden.

Dankzij zijn droge humor en karakteristieke stemgeluid was hij een opvallende verschijning tijdens Nederlands eerste grote dichtersmanifestatie Poëzie in Carré (1966).

Naast zijn dichterschap beoefende Buddingh’ alle denkbare literaire genres, van detectiveroman tot literaire essayistiek. Voor de bundel ‘Het houdt op met zachtjes regenen’ kreeg hij in 1976 de Jan Campertprijs.
