Brandt Corstius overleed vandaag (28 februari 2014) op 78-jarige leeftijd na een langdurige ziekte.

Hugo Brandt Corstius (Eindhoven, 29 augustus 1935 – Amsterdam, 28 februari 2014) was een Nederlandse schrijver en wetenschapper die zowel in de alfa- als in de bètawetenschappen actief was. Hij is onder andere als columnist bekend geworden onder zijn pseudoniemen Piet Grijs en Battus.
